The Cast of East West Players' "Follies"

     Emily Kuroda's theater performances include "Golden Chile," "Heading East," "Ikebana," "Mishima," and "Pacific Overtures" for EWP; "Dogeaters" for La Jolla; "Straight as a Line" (1999 L.A. Times top 10) for Playwright's Arena; "Yachiyo" for Public; "Our Town," "Yachiyo" for South Coast Rep.; "Woman Warrior" for Ahmanson; "Yachiyo," "Woman Warrior" for Berkeley Rep.; "Glass Managerie" for Singapore Rep.; "Minamata," "Crow Flies," "Macbeth" for LATC; "Golden Gate" for Fountain; "Two Gentlemen" for L.A. Shakespeare.  TV appearances include "The Practice," "Chicago Hope," "Snoops," "Ari$$," "Shasta," "Profiler," "L.A. Law" and the upcoming WB pilot "Gilmore Girls."  Emily's films credits include "Heartless," "Dad," "About Love" (Emmy nominated), "Worth Winning," "Solo," "Suburbans"  She has won five Dramalogue Awards and a Garland Award for outstanding performance.

     Sharline Liu's stage credits include "Heading East" tour for EWP, "Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the Rockettes," "Cabaret" for WCE, dir. Jules Aaron, "How to Succeed?quot; for Colony, "Sweet Charit" for SBCLO. On TV she has appeared in "Family Law," "The Young and the Restless," and "On Common Ground."

 

     Paul Martinez (Young Ben) recently moved to Los Angeles from Chicago where his regional credits include "Shear Madness," "Crazy for You," "A Chorus Line," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "West Side Story."  He was an original cast member in the First National Tour of "Miss Saigon," which included a performance at the Kennedy Center for President Clinton. Last fall, Paul choreographed the 1999 Miss An Maglipayon USA Pageant for the An Taclobaonon Association of Southern California. Paul is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and teaches singing to young students at the Vivace School of the Performing Arts.

     Kim Montelibano theater performances include Patti/Eva/Fa Mu Lan in "Carry the Tiger to the Mountain," Jasmine in "Heading East," Violet in "Ikebana" (East West Players), Pocahontas in "Animazement! The Musical" (Disneyland), Royal Dancer/Wife in "The King and I" (CLO of South Bay Cities, Santa Barbara CLO), Issachar's Wife in "Joseph?quot; (CLOSBC), Chah Li in "Song of Singapore" (Oregon Cabaret Theater), Gerry in "Mystery Play" (Actor's Playhouse of Long Beach), Fermina/Moorish Dancer in "Man of La Mancha" (Kentwood Players), and Ms. Artiz in "Portrait of a Nude" (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). Her film credits include playing Randi in "Out on a Holiday."
